Smile and Enjoy Life

From April 24, 2007:

The sun was shining,
Finally, its warmth comforted her.
She's found a brand new world,
She's happy in her place.

Looking forward, not back,
She's staring at the rest of her life.
And when she has a chance to ask "why?"
She'll be sure to ignore it and ask "why not?"

No need to say a word,
Her smile says it all.
She's done stressing over things left unchanged,
She's taking a chance, enjoying life again.

Anxious for the summer,
When the corn grows high,
And the dusty roads take her to her paradise.
She can't wait to go home -
but she'll be sad to leave her new place.
